Tripoli

Tripoli, Libya

Medina souks, Martyrs Square, Corniche cafes

Alcohol is illegal in Libya and Tripoli has no bars or clubs, so the after-dark list is the Corniche grills and the medina shisha cafes, which is where people genuinely are past midnight. No board game cafe or bowling alley could be confirmed as trading either. One thing worth knowing: the Red Castle Museum reopened in December 2025 after fourteen years shut, so it will not appear in older guides.
