Yangon, Myanmar

Downtown rooftops, Chinatown beer streets, a handful of late clubs

Yangon has been under military rule since the 2021 coup, and the conscription drive that followed has pushed a generation of young people either out of the country or off the streets after dark. The curfew was lifted in December 2025 and the clubs are open again, but the scene is thinner and earlier than it used to be: rooftops close around eleven, Chinatown's beer streets empty by midnight, and the late nights happen in a small number of rooms. This guide is short on purpose: every place below was checked as currently trading, and anything we could not confirm was left out rather than filled in.
